The Endangerment of Underwater Species

Many species within our underwater ecosystem have been slowly deteriorating as we know them. There are many causes for the loss of population among these species, many of which have to do with the species you see in the mirror everyday. Humans and their actions have negatively impacted our planet in many ways and will continue to do so. Some examples of this are pollution, deforestation, and poaching. More specific to the world underwater, humans greatly contribute to ocean acidification, coral bleaching, and killing organisms excessively purely for the human gain. If we can’t limit these causes of our depleting waters, then more and more species will continue to become extinct and the balance of the underwater ecosystem will go down a deep, dark path with no return.
